The city of Poreč or Parenzo (ital.) is the most important coastal town on the west coast of the peninsula of Istria in Croatia, with Rovinj / Rovigno and the urban center Pula / Pola.
Probably the most important building in Poreč / Parenzo is the bishop's building with the Euphrasian Basilica, which was included in the world cultural heritage by UNESCO.
The city is also the seat of the Catholic diocese of Poreč-Pula.
